I dislike slow travel, though trains can be cool. I’m not totally opposed this, but personally I love hopping on a jet and being on the other side of the country or world in a few hours. Fucking love it. I hope it never goes away.
Also, airships are a worthless pipe dream and will never happen. Too dangerous, too prone to weather events, and too expensive to run (and always will be due to their nature). Mostly, the world envisioned in the Bray piece is one where only the rich travel. And everyone else cannot. Which, you know, makes me worry because too many people want to make the world too restricted already and this kind of stuff plays right into degrowther nonsense. No thank you.
