This thinking is too fancy. It’s simpler than that: the reason free speech is good is that sometimes, you are wrong.

This is the problem with restricting speech in general. It makes the society overall stupider. Should it be done at all? Very carefully? I don’t know. But like most effective tools, it’s a dangerous one.
