EF Odd

I’ve often — even on this very site — marveled about that too.

“Oh, look at Mike, he remembered something that happened longer ago than last week. He’s an arrogant bastard. What is he, some kind of historian or something?”

If you actually remember stuff that occurred and can bring it to bear in a conversation you are seen as cheating, or putting others at a disadvantage. It’s extremely fucking odd.

English Covid

I suspect most Long Covid is really medium to short Covid, and that it is vastly more prevalent in countries with already-unhealthy populations with lots of obesity where those pops are beset with pre-existing physiological disease as well as psychological issues.

Long Covid is real (for some), but it’s mostly a phantom in which any one group can see what they wish to see.

Mach 10

I’m old enough to remember when computers used to do what you wanted them to do, the “back” button actually made a page go back, and you didn’t have to be braindead drooler to meet the maximum qualifications to use your own damn machine.

It was wrong to let stupid people use computers.

Bullied Logic

The idea that because we are in a very risky time geopolitically, we should just roll over and surrender to what some other dangerous country wants is fucking insane. How can you believe that? It doesn’t make any sort of sense and would not lead to the paradise that many proclaim as the result of exhibiting such unparalleled cowardice.

That’s just not how the world works.

Both Ways

Why do the people who complain that “no one is wearing masks!” never seem to be wearing high-quality KN95 or better masks themselves? One-way masking works.

Almost all of the people complaining about lack of masks are wearing a not-that-effective cloth mask or no mask at all. Please tell me how this makes sense?

Faced

Right. That’s like saying, “The bully who was tormenting was too big and scary to take on, so I went to the kindergarten and started pounding little faces in.”

Dems/libs just make no sense on this.

All the Lies

Notice also that the Firefox team fulfilled basically none of their promises about the APIs that would be available after they took away all useful functionality from the browser. Nearly none. The only significant concession was to allow Treestyle Tabs to still half-work.

All the other stuff? All they did was make fun of their own users for not wanting a broken browser and then took away even more functionality.

I wish I were really rich so I could buy that turd of an organization and fire every single one of those dumbasses.

Truly Hates

I truly do believe that Mozilla hates its Firefox users and sees them as a burden — especially those users who actually care about the product and believe power and customization should be a priority.

Reading Bugzilla tickets as the Firefox devs methodically remove functionality from the product leads to no other conclusion. The product owners and developers are truly nasty to the users who care the most, and berate those users for wanting to do things like being able to change the font size of browser elements. Truly a security issue if I’ve ever heard of one!

No, I’m not making this up. You can’t change the font size of any browser element any longer. It’s impossible.

What a bunch of absolute fucking doofuses. They deserve what’s happening to them. Fucking clowns. I am very much sorry about the money I donated over the years and the time I spent evangelizing Firefox. I wish I’d never done that and that I had my money back.
