The Covidians who wanted to prevent anyone from having any fun for basically forever on some religious crusade…dang, we dodged a close one there.
They were nearer than I would’ve liked to achieving dominance.

The inflation numbers as the average person experiences them are essentially fake. They measure inflation as someone well off experiences it, not as someone whose primary expenses are rent, food, gas and various unexpected emergencies.
The official inflation claims of less than 10% in the past year are bogus to the point of absurdity. For most people it’s been closer to 25%-50% in the US — and similar in other countries. (Yes, I understand how inflation is officially calculated. No, I do not care; it is a bad measure for most.)
it's funny how quickly some left spaces went from "property is theft" to "AI art is IP theft"

Ha! I was thinking about that earlier. It’s complete clown crazy crap. No one has any sort of self-consistency. It’s all, “Whatever benefits me is good, and whatever hurts the other person is even better.”
That’s why I think all success in life should be based on knowing trivia about obscure 1980s rap songs.

I’m ready.
somewhere out there in the quantum realm is an alternate timeline in which Donald Trump *loved* masks, loved making other people (especially service workers) wear them, loved having schools closed, etc, and in that timeline I doubt this article exists https://t.co/1PXWXGwbIO

I think this is alas mostly true. If Trump had embraced masking, 80-90% of PMC libs would’ve turned against it.
In fact many were strongly against masking at first. Even at the time I was aghast, but in the early days of the pandemic I had many people informing me (even a few friends) that masks didn’t work, were useless, and also racist.
I usually say, “One day the universe will pay for its insolence in defying me.” Works a treat.
I wonder if the LGBTQ+ movement understands how badly the “biology isn’t real” crapola has hurt them? Probably not — most people and groups have shockingly little self-awareness.
When I was a kid, I wondered why people cared about the things that they did because I was not all concerned with all the preoccupations that others told me I “had” to be bothered about.
Turns out I was right. It’s both an advantage and kind of sucks having a mental age of 40 by the time you’re 10.
