When did you realize you weren’t young anymore?

When I discovered that the bag that I was holding and had bought in the army (an aviator’s helmet bag, for the curious^*) was older than the intern I was chatting with.

I mentioned this fact to her, as we were friends. And to her great credit she said, “But you don’t look or act, you know, old!”

*I was not an aviator; most army people used those bags.
