I often say things like, “I’m not some mega-genius; I can just see the obvious.” But earlier I realized that seeing the completely, glaringly obvious to many people does in fact seem like the acts of a mega-genius — which should worry us all a whole lot.

People often ask me, “How could you have possibly known that?” Buddy, literally every fucking sign in the whole universe was pointing that direction. There were flashing lights, blinking arrows, words the size of solar systems saying, “This shit is about to go down.” It’s not some grand act of augury and prognostication to determine that something close to 100% certain would occur.

I’m not bragging nor playing at false modesty. I am genuinely puzzled.
