The Chinese government is our military and political opponent. Xi Jinping runs a fascist expansionist power, only unlike Germany in the 1930s it has a bigger economic base and far more significant leverage over the U.S. I don't understand how this is controversial.

This is true. Other than having nukes, Russia is not a real threat*. We could destroy their entire armed forces in three months. The same is not true of China and they are only going to become more expansionist with time.

*To the US, that is. It is very much a threat to a lot of Europe.

Women have a lot of non-win situations. I’m not denying that. I have a good few close women friends so I know it’s true. But men do too. Here’s one of the main ones: men are criticized both by women and men for having and showing feelings, and for not having or showing them — often by the same people! It can be crazy-making.

Also, women expect us to show these feelings exactly in the way that they do or we’re doing it wrong (in their minds). But that’s just not how it works and never will.

No-win binds really suck and there are tons of them in the modern world.

Sounds like she brought it on herself. Women do get hit on more for sure, but I’ve also run across women like this who think every guy in the world wants them and that’s the only reason any man is talking to them ever.

They are toxic people and best avoided. They are also the ones most likely to report you to HR for a normal work interaction. So yeah, definitely stay far far away.
