I really dislike 99.999% of memoirs. I just do not even try to read them anymore. The ones that aren’t boring are lies, and the ones that are lies are usually also still boring.

When you actually read the developer discussions and “reasoning,” it’s shocking how much the Firefox devs were and are deeply invested in making Firefox more difficult to use for fake security. And just worse in general. Some are true believers, of course. But many seem to actually deeply despise their users and want them to fail.

Perhaps being a dev in a large, very visible project is like being on help desk? That also tends to cause hatred towards those you are supposed to be helping.

The most fun movie I’ve seen recently is M3GAN. Such a hokey, clichéd premise executed so incredibly fucking well.

It’s not innovative, its social commentary is as shallow as an Atacama salt lagoon, and it has more cheese than Wisconsin. But good lord is that movie ever entertaining.

This isn’t that hard as far as drumming goes, but Sina is so crazy precise and fun to watch, who cares?

She covers much harder songs of course, but that’s just big fun.

I’m not a fan of a lot of 1970s music as most of it is boring pap. But this is an exception; this live performance is perfect. One of the top 10 I’ve ever seen by anyone I think.

Is being called curvy a nice way of saying fat?

It did not used to be. But that alas has changed. Up until the early 2000s or so it referred to someone who was both not obese nor sylph-like but rather curvaceous, like Sophia Loren in the the late 1950s and early 1960s:

Now “curvy” is a term mostly used by massively obese women to feel better about themselves. And that is certainly not an improvement.
