Smartphones should only be allowed with a hard-to-get and expensive license, and social media essentially should not exist.
That’s my hot take of the day.

You are fit enough when your “easy” workout seems crazy to other people.
That’s when you know.
What in your opinion is an actual wage needed to live like your parents did in the 90s?
My parents didn’t live that well so it has not been hard to exceed them, but still this thread is worth reading. It shows that the inflation numbers are absolute horseshit. For most people to live as well as their parents did in the 90s, it’d be 3-5x their current income.
To live as well as my grandparents did in the late 1970s and early 1980s (they were better off than my parents), I’d need to make 700K a year or so. I don’t make that much.
Poltergeist 2 was not that great a film, but this fucking scene…man, I am not sure there has been a creepier scene filmed ever in mainstream cinema.
I love that it’s shot in broad daylight. That makes it even better (worse?).
For sure. There is nothing I could get addicted to. Whatever it is that causes this in other people, I just do not have it. And I have very high level of self-control (which I think is somewhat separate).
Force me to take opioids for a year, I could quit them in a day. Yes, even with the harsh withdrawal symptoms as no one can do anything about physiological addiction. I just do not give much of a crap about that sort of thing. I don’t know why I am this way nor do I care. But I am glad of it.
