When you’re a military photojournalist, you’re mostly creating pro-military propaganda.

But what I didn’t realize when I was in is that it’s no different in the civilian world. When you’re a civilian journalist, you’re mostly doing pro-establishment and pro-corporate propaganda.

You just get paid worse overall total comp with even fewer benefits.
