Homesteaded

After nearly a year of owning a home, we are happy we did finally pulled the trigger on buying. Our carrying costs (even with absurdly high California taxes) are pretty low, the house has not required a lot of maintenance and the neighborhood itself has been fine.

It’s certainly nice having no rent to pay. And no one — besides eminent domain from the gummint — can kick us out. (There is no HOA.) This will be very helpful in the depression that is coming where probably about half of the US will lose their homes.

It was a good decision for us.
