Last year was the largest one-year percentage point decline in murder ever recorded. This year is on track to do so again. In fact, nearly every category of crime is down sharply, with many at multi-decade lows or even the lowest per-capita rates ever recorded. pic.twitter.com/5ZLsNVwyhO

I bet it’s the semaglutides.
At least partially.
What is your reasoning here?
Despite many claiming they do not, GLP-1 agonists seem to bring along a fairly marked increase in self-control as well as reducing general impulsivity.
Most murders are heat of the moment and not premeditated. Less impulsivity means less murder, assault, and similar crimes.
