Where Treated

Camille is right. Why so many women are begging to be treated like children, I have no idea. I think they don’t understand that it does not work selectively, as they wish it did. What will end up happening is that women will be treated like children everywhere.

Since so many are asking for that, perhaps we should grant them that outcome. It’d look a lot like Iran, though.

Levertation

One could also accurately say this:

“If you had enough resources, you could run a human brain on a wooden system of gears and diesel power. It would be massive, but watching the cells and neurotransmitters move, it would be evident that the outputs are not the result of a mind. Part of the illusion of human thought is the tiny scale of neurons.”

What is going on here? Do the doofs not realize how clownish this all sounds?

By the way, this is nearly word for word Leibniz’s mill argument from the Monadology. Except this person of course would not know that. There, ol’ Leibniz imagined a thinking machine enlarged to the size of a mill. However, the same thought experiment works for your own brain. If you enlarged that to the size a mill (or a city), all you’d see is ion channels pumping and some flashes of electricity. There would be no thought or reasoning visible anywhere; just organic mechanism.

Try as you might, you still would not find that damn pesky ghost. And that’s because it’s nowhere to be found.

Power Relations

Good thought. Kat is right. Men and women do not relate like that anymore. A war of all against all has been declared. Back then, men and women felt like they were on the same team, wanted the same things: a little love, a bit of comfort against the cold world, someone to confide in.

Now, younger millennials and Gen Z have declared that all relationships are always and only about power. Nothing else is permitted. This is more evil than there are words for how evil it is. I’m not certain what we can do to reverse this, but extreme measures must be taken. Perhaps re-education camps. I don’t even know.

Revocon

If consent for sexual activities can be revoked post hoc by women, then marriage should be able to be revoked post hoc with no consequences to men.

Retro Act

That is the actual conversation here.

From everything I’ve read — including what the woman herself said about it — she consented, claimed to have fun, wanted to be invited back to the frat house, but when some other women found out about her activities and slut-shamed her for them, she retroactively unconsented1 and then started accusing people.

The lesson is really that women can accuse you of rape after completely consensual activities, so be very careful who you sleep with. Should any of those people (including the frat boys) have done what they did? Probably not. But should consent be able to be revoked post hoc? Absolutely not. That’s nightmare world.

  1. This should not be a thing.
