It’s interesting that the people who insisted beforehand that Covid would be the Worst Thing EverTM and that Long Covid Would End Civilization® are the same ones who now claim to have Long Covid.
That strongly implies that at least for some people, Long Covid is primarily a manifestation of mental illness and nothing else.
That said, I do believe Long Covid is real. But I think its actual incidence is about 2%-10% of those who claim to have it.
