Iโve had men explain IQ to me for ten minutes after knowing that I was coauthor of TBC. What should I make of this? Anything except that people can be oblivious? https://t.co/CbSrNhop0h

I’ve had men spend half an hour offering their opinions on IT and on how computers work, despite me being an industry pro with multiple professional-level certifications, understanding computers very deeply, having used them since I was four years old and been employed in tech for 25+ years. And these men were not programmers or developers nor did they work in tech. And nearly every word they said was incorrect.
Women believe that “mansplaining” happens only to them — a very solipsistic view. But some people are just oblivious boors. More often men, but plenty of women are that way too (Karens).
