For Mac Pro, Linus has a good summary of industry reactions so far.
Basically, this is a machine for an extremely narrow professional segment who refuses to move away, and also earn enough money that price is irrelevant. Everyone else, this is not for you.https://t.co/H5XnrZuHIiโ SwiftOnSecurity (@SwiftOnSecurity) January 26, 2020
People have just no idea how much real professional equipment costs. Letโs look at just monitors for a moment. Here is a (of a line commonly used in the industry) reference monitor that retails for $39,000. Itโs only 4k.
The Apple Pro XDR display is 6K instead of 4K, also HDR, and the most expensive variant is only $6,000. Itโs a fucking bargain, in other words.
Always goofy morons coming out of the woodwork to expound on shit they donโt know a fucking thing about.
