Capitalism depends on the world being full of utter dipshits waiting to be conned. And even when you tell them they are about to be conned, they deny it and call you a conspiracy theorist. And when it turns out they have in fact been very predictably swindled, they are always, always like, “How could anyone have KNOWNNNNNNN?”
