I often tweet critically about the left more than the right, and I suspect this is because I see more bad leftist stuff closer in my social spheres, and only rarely bad right stuff. But I do think if I started hanging around more right wingers I would get more upset about it.

Same here. I don’t hang out or read righties (much). When I do, my skin crawls. Because I am on the left and read mostly left-wing stuff, that’s what I tend to be thinking about the most.
