My parents lost everything when they fled a revolution, immigrated 6,500 miles, with my mom giving birth to me in a stopover, without my dad. They had no bed, just a mattress. I slept in a pram, no crib.
They tell me this pandemic has been harder than that.

I think weโre hugely, hugely underestimating the mental health toll of the pandemic and associated lockdowns and social isolation. How do you compare that to lives lost? You canโt, really. They are incommensurate. However, the lockdown lovers and Covid absolutists should at least consider this. (Spoiler alert: they wonโt.)
