Covid vaccination should be absolutely mandatory.

The main reason is that it’s somewhat likely (around 10% I’d say) that a variant does emerge that exhibits significant vaccine escape and is both more transmissible and a lot more deadly. Even though 10% chance is not that high, the devastation this would cause is enough to significantly insure against this possibility.

Say there is a variant that emerges that is 50% more deadly. I estimate this would lead to another $15 trillion knocked off world GDP over five years and 20 million excess deaths.

This is why vaccination should be 100% mandatory with huge fines or jail time if you are not jabbed, unless you cannot be for very-strictly-controlled medical reasons.
