Cruelty as Purpose

I love watching airport arrivals. The reunions say: life is better now youโ€™re here.

Just think that this pains many liberals, who crave keeping people apart, who wish to destroy pleasure in the world, who have in general and especially of late devoted their lives to making sure this cannot happen, whose goal is preserving prison countries and social isolation, and who have stopped at nothing to prevent people from visiting mothers, daughters, sons, friends and other loved ones for in some cases well more than a year.

This is the sad and defective liberalism โ€” a liberalism that does not even deserve the name โ€” that weโ€™ve created.

And we should destroy it because it serves no one and nothing.
