For me, this is absolutely bullshit. This is just weak and pedestrian protest against epistemic trespass. Alan is just angry others might get it right and undermine his authority.

Obviously, I am often correct contra the “experts,” even in fields where I am not one. Why? It’s because I can sniff out bullshit from a mile away, and can usually determine when folks like Alan are attempting to con me “for my own good.” That entire thread is disingenuous and is just a yawp of anger against unwelcome intellectual interlopers. (Anyway, the mistakes in studies usually aren’t hard-to-detect statistical errors. They are typically far more fundamental and easier to discover than that.)

Remember, Alan, how in February and March of 2020 that the experts said masks don’t work and would do more harm than good? Forgotten that, have we? I knew better because I did my own fucking research.
