The primary reason I hate smartphones and why I pretty much refuse to use them for anythng except the rare photo and Google maps is because they are explicitly designed to turn us all into mindless infantile droolers, without exception. They are horrible devices that should be cast into the abyss where they belong.

Nothing is good about them at all.
