If omicron is as mild as it looks to be and delta can’t evade immunity from omicron, this could be the pandemic endgame

Seems likely to me too. Omicron appears mild but very transmissible. Most everyone is likely to get it, most probably asymptomatic if vaccinated.

In a way, with Omicron we got lucky. It didn’t necessarily have to be milder than previous variants though it’s becoming increasingly clear that it in fact is.
