I went @jamespoulos's book launch party the other night in Austin, & I was trying to describe the crowd to my wife afterwards. I'm telling here that the people basically self-identified as "right," so she's like "but in what way?" Me: they're sorta just Clinton-era liberals.๐คทโโ๏ธ https://t.co/W5knQj9m5T

Good thread. Heโs mostly correct. A Clinton-era liberal would now be described by many current โliberalsโ as right or often far-right. Since in many ways my views have not changed since the late 1990s, I guess that makes me on the right too to many people โ though I certainly donโt identify myself that way.
Thereโs nothing wrong with evolving as the times do (one should!) but too much of the left now believes that biology isnโt real, that womenโs sports should be destroyed, that no one needs love, sex, friendship, etc. And that many of them are perfectly content to destroy society to โpreventโ a relatively-mild virus โ well, I and many people want no part of any of that. Itโs nothing I want to be associated with at all.
Iโm not alt-right-, right-wing or even close to that. Iโm not on any team. Fuck all teams. Keep me off them and keep them away from me. But what the modern left has become is a malformed bundle of self-contradictory beliefs that harm more people than it helps. No thank you.
