The Anglo media is going crazy with excitement over the “rise of the extreme right” in French politics but in all honesty even Marine Le Pen is well to the left of the GOP, and on economic issues she is well to the left of the Democratic Party too

Yeah, Marine le Pen is only to the right of French communists from the 1960s.

But if you want to know why the global elite really oppose her, it’s not racism. These are the actual reasons.

She supports economic nationalism, the separation of investment and retail banking, and energy diversification, and is opposed to the privatization of public services and social security, speculation on international commodity markets, and is opposed to the Common Agricultural Policy.

I would likely vote for le Pen over Macron were I French. Macron is a full-on neoliberal and wants to take away anything that actually helps French people, and he will willingly remove anything that is a barrier for global capital to strip the French state bare.
