An army that rapes and massacres as a tool of war will rape and massacre as a tool of occupation. A government that engages in ethnic cleansing against a combative citizenry will do the same against a docile citizenry.

Why this is not obvious to people, I do not know. So many people putting on clown makeup as a result of this war. Strangely enough, a lot of re-application is not necessary because much of this by the same people who already had the clown makeup on from Covid panic.
