Good observation. Primarily, the media is as terrible as it is because it is corporate controlled and mostly staffed by trust fund Ivy Leaguers. They report what their masters tell them to report (and not report), and have no idea what’s happening anywhere and no understanding of it if they did. This is all by design. Some lefties have fallen completely for Russian propaganda as well, though. Ian Welsh and Noam Chomsky are good examples of that occurring.

I will, however, both sides this. Just maybe 2 months ago I was in lefty groups reading about how the supposed supply chain problems were a media plot to make Biden look bad, & there was even a prominent economist making this argument on the basis that shelves near him were full.
