I think why attraction in general (not just sexual attraction) frightens the PMC libs is because it’s not easily consciously controllable. You can’t manage it readily and you can’t build a contract around it. You can’t bureaucratize it and it’s not amenable to Taylorization. It just is. Try as you might, it’ll never be under the full power of HR.
