I lost the tweet, but I saw some dipshit mook on Twitter arguing that long-term space travel was โ€œimpossibleโ€ because of bone density loss that occurs in zero g.

This is the dumbassest argument in the history of arguments because I personally could figure out the math and engineering of tethering two masses together with high-tensile strength kevlar cords and spinning them up to produce one g โ€” and I am fucking terrible at math. This isnโ€™t even hard. We just havenโ€™t done it because we have no reason to yet.

This is same clown in 1650 who would be telling you it wouldnโ€™t ever be possible to navigate accurately because no known technology could produce a clock good enough to measure longitude precisely.

Whatโ€™s particularly delightful about bozos like that is they say things are โ€œimpossibleโ€ that we already know how to do. Itโ€™s like saying that weโ€™ll never have wireless phones now or something. Itโ€™s just incomprehensible.
