Something typically ignored in these conversations is the recyclability of EV batteries. Once there is a critical mass of them in circulation and then aging out, the need for mining is expected to significantly decrease.

Ayup. Only have to do that mining once until saturation is reached. The metals in EV batteries are 95% recoverable/recyclable.
