"Lockdowns" (or rather, the half-assed social distancing stuff we called "lockdowns" were a great idea in 2020, until we got vaccines that worked. Then they became a bad idea. If that's a nuanced or difficult idea to understand, well, I'm sorry!

Correct. This harms the fewest people for the least time while reaping the largest benefits for the many. We live in a society, as much as the neo-Thatcherites hate admitting it. Perpetual lockdown (or some equivalent) was never the answer.
