My bf admitted heโs no longer attracted to me because of my weight.
I know this is not permitted for men anymore*, but I sympathize with the dude. Iโm not attracted to obese women in the least, and am usually not attracted to even overweight ones. This is a very strong preference in me, and I donโt think I could alter it if I wanted to (I very much do not).
Talking about someoneโs weight is supposed to be verboten these days but attraction is important in a relationship โ and not just intellectual attraction, but physical as well. Fuck not talking about it, therefore. It should be a factor. You donโt just get up to 188 pounds by magic. It doesnโt happen overnight.
When I wasnโt as attractive and fit as I am now, I was more tolerant of being out of shape in romantic partners. But I hold myself to a high standard and quite honestly, would expect the same of any actual or prospective partner (friends, I donโt give a crap). If thatโs wrong I do not care to be right. Not at all.
*Despite the fact that women reject guys for height reasons all the time โ something far, far less changeable than weight.
