Had one recently where I (infra) was brought in bc everyone was out of ideas.

Looked at the app log and found the word “error”. Turns out the API request from the customer to us was malformed.

They’d been working on this for months.

I do this all the time. It’s simply amazing how many people in my field and developers cannot read logs and do not read nor understand error messages.
