One reason

Thereโ€™s one reason alone why itโ€™s good that Google is a large, public company: enoughGoogle Ban resources to push back against insanity like this.

Letโ€™s hope it will do so.

I did not and wonโ€™t look at the stolen celebrity photos mainly because I donโ€™t care, but I knew the calls to censor the internet would ramp up after the leak despite the fact that itโ€™ll do little good.

For instance I know of at least a dozen places I could view the filched photos if I wished to do so, no Google required at all.

Google was really disappointing in bending to the piracy crusaders and thereby tainting its search results with great inaccuracy, but that was probably inevitable for a public company wanting access to media to redistribute.

It doesnโ€™t need to further adulterate its results in feel-good ineffectual efforts. Weโ€™ve already lost it, but itโ€™d still be nice to have a search engine that actually, you know, searched.
