Embracing failure

This is what embracing failure looks like. And then making excuses about it.

Oprah is arguably the most accomplished, admired, able person in the world. She creates magic for other people and herself on the regular. So, if Oprah canโ€™t do permanent lifelong weight loss, maybe it canโ€™t be done. Oprah is also crazy rich. If Oprah canโ€™t buy permanent lifelong weight loss, maybe it canโ€™t be bought.

It doesnโ€™t take money to lose weight. It just takes eating less of what you are already eating (which should save you a bit of money).

I can almost guarantee that this womanโ€™s food diary is not what sheโ€™s actually eating โ€” pretty good studies show that peopleโ€™s food diaries are highly inaccurate.

Very few people have the metabolism-affecting diseases they claim to have, and even most of those are exacerbated by weight gain and not caused by it.

I donโ€™t give a crap how much this woman weighs. Or how much Oprah weighs. But I donโ€™t see the need for me to pretend that these people arenโ€™t lying to themselves.

Come on, just say you like food and that you eat too much of it and be done with it. Makes life easier for everyone and you donโ€™t hurt other people with your BS in the process.

Done and done.
