The only thing that annoys me so far about my new car is other people.
Quite a number of the few who even know what my car is have said, โFor a little bit more you couldโve had a Corvette!โ
Hereโs the thing: I didnโt want a damn Corvette! If I did, Iโd have one right now. Instead, I have pretty close to the performance of a Corvette with far more interior space (enough room for three adults in the back), a truly colossal trunk, and greater reliability.
Second, they have no idea how much I paid for my car. I drive a pretty hard bargain. I got mine for thousands less than a lot of other people pay for the same vehicle โ which is pretty challenging to achieve in a rare color of a niche vehicle.
So yes, I certainly could have paid $15,000+ more for a car I didnโt even want.
Makes complete sense. Why didnโt I think of that?
