When you read about damage inflicted on the environment, remember it’s consequently being inflicted on you. Nature is a myth at the heart of empire; there is no separation between it & us. Anthropogenic climate change lays this bare.

Many people, even on the liberal suposedly pro-science side, somehow believe that we have very little to no connection to the biosphere and the ecological processes that go on all around us. I have no idea how one can be so delusional but I see it often so I’m here to tell you that without a relatively stable climate, without predictable rainfall, without soil being able to replenish itself, without tree growth, we are done.

By the way, humans are becoming more dependent on ecosystem services, not less so.

This isn’t alarmism. This isn’t something happening hundreds of years hence. This is right now. I’d say your climate change chickens are going to come home to roost. But they won’t. Because they’ll be dead.
