It's fucking incredible how the left has gone from trashing the WTO in 1999 to being woke-scolded into supporting globalism. The backlash to the Nagle expressing an historically normal socialist understanding of labor-capital relations is evidence of this shift.

Exactly. Nagle’s view was the mainstream left position up until 3-5 years ago, so it’s odd to see her and this view portrayed as abhorrently mega-racist.
Compassion isn’t a plan. Open borders only works if countries are roughly equal in development and culture, and not essentially controlled by mega-corps. How is this not clear to every delusional open borders supporter?
The one and only reason I didn’t join the Democratic Socialists of America is that they are for open borders, explicitly so. I can’t associate with any group so fervently moronic about an issue no matter its other benefits.
