Just such a great video. I watch it every few months. What looks easy here is actually hard. The shoot itself takes only a few hundred dollars worth of equipment if you rent it but coaxing your subject into being so static yet interesting for more than three minutes is an art. And that’s not easy at all.

I was hoping the uniqueness and pure force of Lorde’s first album was presaging a cultural shift. Alas, it did not. And we haven’t had one of those in a long time, no matter what some clowns claim. But I hope we do still one day.
