Same. I don’t think a single adult “You’ll agree with me when you’re older” or “You’ll know better when you’re older” or “You’ll understand when you’re older” ever happened. All those adults were either wrong or attempting to manipulate or harm me in some way.

A part of that is due to where and when I grew up. It was probably better in other areas. But most adults at any time aren’t particularly wise nor particularly knowledgeable, so their advice and what is “obvious” to them is typically absolute crap and worthless.
