I do wonder how much worse prudery under the New Morality is going to get. Conservatives seem to be pushing back against it now, principally because this new moral code of extreme restriction and anti-sexuality is mostly coming from so-called liberals.

The problem with prudery is its perniciousness; once its latches on to the collective psyche and becomes a performance and a method of virtue signaling, it is difficult to let go. It becomes a way to demonstrate that you are good person. So we end up with athletes in burqas and sharia.

Let’s hope it doesn’t get that far. But it is headed that way currently. Conservatives are resisting, but it’s not enough.
