Ha, yep. The Israelis conducted a fairly normal war there that achieved its military objectives with some accidental collateral destruction that occurs in any war, no matter what.
And then they stopped. There was no famine. There was no genocide. That was all ginned up for the media — which the idiot left readily consumed — by Hamas and associated factions. I looked at satellite images my actual self (not proxied through any media company, etc.) of aid trucks delivering in Gaza. Anyone with sufficient interest can just do this. Did the leftist genocide-screechers? Of course not.
Israel is one of the few countries in the world that has ever delivered millions of tons of aid to the people they are fighting against.
Much of the left at this point I think is just pure evil. They support the “right” of a Hamas terrorist or Islamist to murder someone like Shani Louk over anything else.

People hate Gutenberg, at least people who want to just write, and that’s most WordPress users.

That’s from the official Apple user interface guidelines. The first part is certainly untrue, as much as I like the whole work. About most things, including their computers, people are definitely not curious. In fact they will go far, far out of their way to make sure they know nothing of how it works or how best to use it.
Adults at least are generally very incurious in my experience.

Priorities for the new year:
1) Constrain Russia and China enough to keep them from steamrolling most of Europe and Asia, respectively.
2) Prevent third world Islamic migration from destroying Western Civilization.
3) Reverse the trend in the US of anti-wind, anti-solar and anti-battery sentiment. This antipathy to the inevitable future is more dangerous over the long term than what Trump is doing directly.

My hot take: Listening to audio books does not count as “reading” the book, and is only a little different than watching the movie based on a book.
I’m glad audiobooks exist, don’t get me wrong. Some people need them. But they are slow and inferior to actually reading.

Not that long before this was written in 1989, all of it was “nerd fantasy.” But now, more than 30 years later, just about all of the engineering written about there — which would’ve seemed impossible to someone from 1889 — is obsolete tech. Pollution Dilution
