This is correct. The US’s clownish obsession with enormous pollution-spewing trucks and fossil fuels is not mirrored by the rest of the world. We are being and will be left behind. In about five years, more than half of the cars on the road worldwide will be EVs. In 10, it’ll be more like 80%+. All except here, where Ford moronically canceled the electric F-150 because the American right now believes batteries, the sun and wind are gay.

It’s weird that nearly all of the people who hate AI have never tried it, don’t know anything about it, and are all the usual degrowthers, doomers, and dipshits.
Also, as I’ve observed before, they believe AI still works as well as it did 3+ years ago. When that is not the case at all. I like when criticism at least has a clue. Sans that, it’s as worthless as another molecule of water in the ocean.

That used to be so damn mystifying to me. I’ve gotten the same thing dozens of times. Then I realized that people don’t even know what the internet is. Or the web. No idea. To them it’s just some crap that happens on their computer.
Back in the IE days, I sometimes got around this by telling users to “click on the blue ‘e’ where you go to see news and stuff like that.” That worked about 60% of the time. The other 40% I’d have to remote in or walk to their desk, turning a 10-second task into a half-hour task.

I don’t know how anyone uses the internet on their phone. It’s such an incredibly miserable experience. Extensions don’t work, the screen is tiny, and everything is an ad or surveillance.

I don’t care about the Epstein affair overly much. Not because I don’t think it was all evil and wrong. It was. And not because I don’t think any women harmed deserve justice and recompense. They do.
But I think the focus on it is irrelevant for a few reasons. The first is that I just kind of assumed this is what a lot of the elites were up to, so it’s not any sort of surprise. The second is that it’s a deliberate distraction, for both sides. The 24/7 Epstein show shifts focus from substantive and consequential issues that the panjandrums would rather you not pay attention to. This is intentional. The third reason I don’t care much about the whole thing is that there’ll never be any real accountability for what happened. The evidence is just not there in a way that is prosecutable, and likely never will be.
It’s a crime, but it’s normal crime for those types. It matters little to the fate of our nation and the world, which is where we should be placing our attentions now.
