Cult Des

A lot of liberals believe any culture of a “colonialist” country is illegitimate and should be destroyed by mass immigration from the third world. In some places, they’re basically doing that or allowing that to occur.

That’s what’s going on here.

Neverpresent

Dang. Brutal, and bad for all of us. Of course, I wouldn’t come here as a student or even as a tourist for any reason either.

Supportable

It’s a weird idea that what you visit and view is what you necessarily support and believe, isn’t it? How did so many liberals arrive at that asinine and clownishly clueless conclusion?

I read everything from very far-left actual communists to extremely right-wing RETVRN types. And none of those do I support. Part of it is that I just like getting a broad range of views. Otherwise, you are stunting yourself intellectually. Part is that you have no idea what’s going on in the world if you don’t come out of your turtle shell and look around. And another part is that I am merely curious.

Because I don’t have an ideology or philosophy of any human alive now (perhaps someone from 10,000 years in the future) I like to see if anyone else out there is emerging with the same thoughts, the same spirit. So far, no, not really, but if I don’t dive into the zeitgeist and the particular weltanschauung (to get crazy with the German Cheez-Whiz) of various little sub-cultures, how would I ever know?

There’s little worse than a person who believes you should be punished or shunned because you happen to read something they disagree with it. Not support it — that never seems to be the criterion. Just reading it is enough to bring about the sanctioning.

I won’t live that way.

That I Say

Some women seriously be like, “I got this tattoo to reclaim my body!”

And then the tattoo looks like a donkey barfed on them. Two years later, you see some crazy tweet like, “Why do all the EVIL guys I REALLY want and deserve HATE TATTOOS! It’s SO UNFAIR and OPPRESSIVE!”

And to that I say:

Not Happening

Whatโ€™s an IT โ€œtruthโ€ which other departments assume, that really annoys you?

That anything that uses electricity, or that has any moving parts, is IT’s responsibility to provision, troubleshoot, replace and maintain.

I know it’s because we have the only population with methodical and reliable troubleshooting skills but Karen, nope, I’m not gonna fix the coffee maker. And I’m not gonna unjam your stapler and definitely will not help you do your own team’s job, either.

Lax

What do you think about the ‘mental load’ in relationships?

Women are more neurotic by nature on average so it’ll always be a problem. This isn’t lobbing some accusation. It’s just true, like the Moon is up there in the sky and that birds have wings.

Some compromise could be made by men caring more and women laying off a bit (or a lot), but probably won’t be.

Fortunately, my partner is one of the least neurotic people in general I’ve ever met so we work together perfectly. And, well, my nickname in the army was “Chill” so that gives you some idea of how I tend to be most of the time.

I did have an ex-girlfriend ask me many years ago about some trifling matter, “How can you just not care?”

And I answered, “I look at it and think, I just don’t give a crap” and then never think about it again. Easy.
