Wake

It’s odd that the corporate world is so dependent on email but people barely read theirs, especially if it comes from IT or HR. Which is doubly odd if you think about it, because emails from those two departments are the ones most likely to have a huge impact on your working life!

In my own field, I’ve sent out emails in quadruplicate about some system outage and then people are completely unaware there’d be any planned disruption. These days I’ve had people ignore 4+ emails, two notices in Slack, and a post on the company intranet.

Just…how? Why? Are these people awake?

Takeaway

And most of the leftists are absolutely fucking gleeful about all the things they will “have” to take away from you. It makes them deeply unappealing, but still capable of doing great harm. It’s some kind of weird psychosexual/religious thing with them, though — they love having erotic thoughts about depriving you of the necessities of life.

It’s a sick fetish.

File and Rank

Most of the rank-and-file RTO advocates get super-incensed when informed that you’re not at work to socialize with them, but to get work done.

For them, it seems work is primarily to schmooze and yap aimlessly but has nothing to do with actually working at all. These are the same motherfuckers who would come by my desk 10 times an hour to “chat,” meaning that I was not able to get my extremely-cognitively-demanding work done while I was actually in the office.

Fuck them and fuck RTO.

Wanting

There is a paragraph in this Kat Rosenfield piece that I want to fully excerpt here but I won’t as it’s worth reading the build-up as well.

This is something I’ve been saying for a while. Women simply cannot selectively choose when they want to be treated as children. It’s all or nothing. If you want to be treated as a child only when it suits you, that is not on offer; you will also be dealt with that way when it comes to rights and responsibilities as well.

Feminism in the past decade or so has advocated that women hold power with no accountability or responsibility while blaming the results of even their own predictably-disastrous actions on men who had nothing to do with their self-caused fuck-ups. Outside of absurd exceptions like Trump, that’s not how power works or will ever work.

So now women must choose: be treated as little kids with no agency (and thus few to no rights) or own your own bullshit, and take responsibility for your own actions.

Which will it be?

Mater Real

Hargraves: I want you to think about who has the most macho army in the worldโ€”or at least the image of it. Russia, right? They pride themselves on this macho bullshit. But they invaded Ukraine, and guess what? Russia is losing 5-6 soldiers for every one Ukrainianโ€ฆ ego doesnโ€™t mean anything.

Effective intelligence, control, coordination and communication are the factors that matter. And having enough materiel of all sorts, too, of course. But even with all the materiel in the world, without those first four things I mentioned you’re gonna do nothing but lose.

As the Russians are discovering.

Quint It

Tik tok is social media which means itโ€™s powered by people connecting with each other, and tik tok fostered many communities. Dismissing it as a dumb dancing app tells me youโ€™re deeply out of touch with the world (as well as a boring garden variety asshole)

Good example of a useful idiot. Also, the mean IQ on TikTok seemed to be in the low 60s.

I Slam Islam

This has already happened in Germany. Letting North African1 and Islamic men immigrate en masse is a terrible, terrible mistake. Nothing good at all can ever come of that.

It has doomed Germany and it will destroy Japan if they keep it up.

  1. Yes, I know Pakistan is not in North Africa; read the sentence again.

Tattered

I might be petty, and I’m so glad I’m not dating anymore, but if there was an otherwise perfect woman for me and she had a single tattoo, still that would be a big no from me.

Gotta have standards, as unpopular as it is.

I have been enjoying watching women realize they have incelled themselves with tattoos, though. It’s rare that women have even the faintest clue what being the average guy is like (the opposite is not true for men, as we also face threats from other men). It’s a good lesson for women to receive.

Damn, tattoos suck. On anyone, but especially on women.

Sky Echo

Bluesky is an absolute liberal clown shitshow echo chamber of the very worst kind. It has some of the goofiest goofballs anyone has ever seen.

That said, it’s right to fear China. They are the greatest threat to the world today, by far, and are likely to kick off WWIII in the near future. Fear is warranted.

Directionull

The ’90s weren’t that great – by Cartoons Hate Her.

Wow, this is powerful stupid. Just fucking idiotic.

She completely and totally misunderstands and barely acknowledges what people miss about the 90s and why it was not exactly a completely better time, but a very different time with an extremely dissimilar feel as compared to now.

This article is ragingly fucking full of shit, I’ll state again for the record. Just clownish in all the worst ways by someone who was just a bit too young to get the full 90s experience. This profoundly clueless article could’ve actually been good but she was simply not smart enough nor perceptive enough to write it.

When someone pens something like this that misses the entire point of the discussion, it causes one to wonder why did they bother? Why produce obviously shoddy pap? Is fighting against straw men really that much fun?

Anyway, the reason people miss the 1990s is that it was an incredibly optimistic time. They miss that feeling. The Berlin Wall had fallen; Communism had been defeated and the pall of nuclear war no longer hung over all of us. We thought we could fix the world and that we all were on the verge of a better future, unburdened by history and all its hatreds.

This feeling, this spirit, was everywhere then. Yes, even among adults (it’s not just childhood nostalgia). Everyone, nearly, believed it, felt it, wanted it to be true and wanted to make it come true.

That’s why people look back so fondly on the 90s and miss that time so much. They miss it as much as that article misses the point.
