Bureaucrapcy

Correct. I see people complain about “government bureaucracy” fairly frequently — and it’s a private company they’re carping about. And then some claim the bureaucratic whirlwind is due to “regulations” when the supposedly-responsible regulations haven’t changed for 30, 40, or 50+ years.

No, it’s just that when bureaucracy can increase it does. Especially when it can be used to strategically extract more money from you in the now-dominant scam economy.

Roped Doper

How the fuck did the belief that we should have wild-eyed crazy people roaming our streets, harassing and attacking at will, become a tenet of progressive politics? And they wonder why they lose elections.

It was so damn bizarre watching them transition from #MeToo to “Everyone needs to enjoy a little harassment on the bus or train. It really spices life up! Anyone gets a free grope or two, don’t worry about it. And if you don’t like it, you must be MAGA!” And I’m barely even exaggerating there.

Dang that was wild.

Reva

Those who think NATO expansion had anything at all with Putin’s revanchism, annexation and planned genocide in Ukraine: What the fuck is wrong with you?

Way to buy into the Russian propaganda operation, I guess. Please engage brain if it is still capable of functioning (probably is not).

Only Capitalist-Approved Messages

The Reddit mods have spent absolutely vast amounts of time and effort removing anything that portrayed UHC or capitalism in a negative light. They were fake-justifying this censorship with “not glorifying violence,” but it had zero to do with that in actuality. This crackdown was of course in service of being and remaining advertiser-friendly since Reddit is a capitalist enterprise and advertising-driven.

It’s an unenviable task, in many ways. Reddit mods are not paid, yet they must act as subservient thralls to the whims of forces that demand their fawning servility. At the same time, they must pretend they are suppressing valid dissent for the good of the community. Neither are things that I could or would do.

The fact is that in the US that nearly everyone knows someone who was killed by UHC or a similar organization denying them healthcare. That’s where the anger comes from. That’s why people (including me) are celebrating the death of the sociopath CEO.

And try as it might, Reddit will not be able to keep that hidden.

Not So Confirmed

Oh, I see you’ve worked with the same HR people I have:

At one company, HR got names wrong routinely. As I always do, I set the person up as specified and spelled in the ticket. A few days later the HR person asked me why I did it wrong and I said, “That’s how it was in the ticket.” They then — get this — asked me why I hadn’t looked the person up on the internet to verify the name was spelled correctly. Ok, Broette, I am literally never going to do that. That is not my job and anyway, how would I know it’s the right person?

Another notable incident: I shipped out a laptop and gear to a new person starting in a week or so. The gear went to the “wrong” address. I looked back at the ticket to verify the “confirmed shipping address.” That was the address I’d sent it to and the address the equipment was received at. Of course, it was not the person’s actual address. HR then proceeded to get into a snit that I did not verify that the “confirmed shipping address” was the actual shipping address. I told them that this was not my job and I would always assume the “confirmed shipping address” was exactly what it said.

And then it happened a second time….

Quixote

The Covidians are still banging on about wearings masks everywhere? Dang.

I’ve been traveling a lot in the past coupla weeks and I’ve probably seen 30,000 or so people in hotels or airports well enough to glimpse their faces. A total of three were wearing masks.

Three.

Face it, Covidians, you lost. Now you’re just tilting at windmills and looking clownish the entire time.

Icy

On the whole UHC CEO thing.

Clownish pussyfooting. It’s just Reddit trying to be advertiser- and capitalist-friendly.

Luckily, on my own blog I can say that taking out that asshole was a great Christmas present. I’m ecstatic that the UHC thug got iced and I hope it happens to many, many more healthcare CEOs and execs. And soon, too.

As the series of below comments notes, on corporate social media the nearly-unanimous joy about the UHC sociopath’s assassination is being very heavily censored and suppressed while capitalist and UHC-approved views are being promoted.

Hood Father

Idiot. Osama bin Laden and Pol Pot were both fathers. How does that absolve them of anything? Or cause me to care in the least?

As if him being “the CEO of a health insurance company” is just incidental somehow. If I murder 100,000+ people as he did, it doesn’t matter that I took really good care of my pets or helped an old lady cross the street. How can these people be such utter dumbasses?

Losing It

GAWDAMN I fucking love love love how pissy the retarded right is getting about the UHC shitstain being removed from the breathing population.

After January 6, after their killing of women with abortion bans, after their talk of deportation and extermination, how does it fucking feeeeeel, losers? Cry those beautiful tears; you’re cute when you cry! Haha!

Look at the Babies Cry

It’s funny how much right-aligned people are now wringing their hands and crying like little babies about how liberals like me are rejoicing that the UHC shitheel got himself assassinated. Never mind their own support for deliberately killing women with abortion bans and celebrating doofuses like Clive Bundy et al. The below, though, is how I (and many others) feel.

When we start using their own tactics against them, suddenly those brawny manly men and hardy pioneer women become little fraidy-cats and want Daddy to come protect and save them. Hilarious.

If the corporate MBA types and their follow-on bootlickers, brown-nosers and sycophants hadn’t made life so very terrible for so many Americans, no one would be celebrating the death of that dipshit. But there are a few thousand more CEOs and execs who need to be — and deserve to be — put up against the wall.

You can tell when the right is afraid because they start whining like three-year-olds. And that’s always entertaining to me because otherwise they spend so much time pretending to be hard-boiled and tough. But the minute they get a little bit scared, they sound exactly like the leftist dorks with their trigger warning and safe spaces.

But the UHC CEO got the best trigger warning of all time. Let’s hope there are many more.
