Cuts

Yes. China’ll be taking out satellites, cutting undersea cables, hacking infrastructure and bombing data centers.

How do I know? Because that’s what I’d do, and I’m awesome at this shit.

Pother

I think that gloss is basically correct. To be fair, the left has more than a few good proposals. This alliance, though, was fucking atrociously terrible, will probably ruin Europe for 300 years, and has significantly harmed the US too.

So, fail, and kind of negates all their other decent ideas.

Obtain

Agreed. Both sides have basically gone insane. As I’ve said many times before, we needed New Minds and did not get them.

That’ll mean war, calamity and mass death before we do.

Bubble Pop

The housing market bubble is about to burst as badly as the Internet bubble.

It’s fascinating to read these comments from 2004, about a year-and-a-half before the housing bubble did in fact burst. Mostly to avoid legal prosecution, a successful propaganda operation was launched post hoc claiming that no one could have know there was a bubble, etc., so now the fact that tons of people (including me) knew in advance has been memory-holed.

About half the people in the comments are claiming that a housing bubble does not exist or that it was impossible to even have a bubble while the other half are claiming — correctly — that the market was a bubble ready to pop.

The level of denial in some is interesting:

And a refusal to believe that bubbles can even exist (common in clownish econ types too):

Revert

I was talking to my partner about something very similar earlier today. The idea of continual upward progression is an illusion. Unless we make it happen. We seem to be turning away from that, so the most likely eventuality is regression to the mean.

Which is that most people are illiterate. Secularism is rare. Most states, if they exist at all, are heavily authoritarian and repressive. Wars are common, but small. Tech is still present but mostly comes from those few states that have not been Islamicized.

We should be trying hard to avoid this fate but don’t appear to be doing much.

After Oct

I will never understand all the support for Palestinians or the jihadi terrorist state they want to build. There is no difference at all between supporting Palestine and Hamas. If Gaza weren’t right next door, Israel just should’ve just nuked it and gotten all this done with so civilization could prevail.

They’ve shown greater restraint than I would have after October 7.

She’s pretty, looks both fun and intelligent, is not obese and doesn’t appear to be full of unwarranted judgement and entitlement like nearly all American women. She looks like she could be someone who is an actual friend and not a competitor vying for power with you in any sort of relationship, romantic or otherwise. At a glance, it seems like you might be able to talk to her without having your reputation dragged and your life ruined on social media for internet clout.

Yes, that’s a lot to infer from a photo, but there’s a reason we claim they are worth a thousand words.

Deflection

Was I being racist by noting that our company has expanded our off shoring?

No. This talk of “racism” anytime anyone mentions offshoring is a reliable method used by the MBA perpetrators of this trend to shut down any discussion of offshoring and its negatives.

The same thing occurred when NAFTA was being debated, and when China was allowed “Most Favored Nation” trading status. Anyone who discussed drawbacks or harm to Americans was branded “racist” and excluded from the deliberation immediately. And it worked, because both the clownish left and the doltish right were united in this.
