Prep

Definitely not “grotesquely emaciated.” I’d say extremely thin. But look at her arms! They are fuckin’ jacked. No one with arms like that is anywhere close to emaciated.

All that’s going on here is someone who was already fit and skinny and prepped to look like that in the outfit she wanted to wear. Still not that healthy, all told, but not that bad. Prep == eating a bit less for a few weeks and then dehydrating yourself for a couple of days before the event.

Again, no one actually emaciated would have such nice arms. It’s just not possible to do. At all. It’s just the FA nutters and women’s intrasexual competition reacting to someone who looks great. And they are burning with envy and hatred.

Move Right

I don’t agree with a lot of contentions in this post. For instance, January 6 was definitely a coup attempt but the right will never admit anything but the absurd idea that it was some kind of rowdy capitol tour group (which is fucking hilarious, if you think about it ).

However, I agree with what the consequences will be: these events combined with liberal inaction on crime and disorder in large urban areas will move people to the right. In general, the worst-run, most crazy-people-ridden cities are all blue ones. Everyone knows this, though some lie about it. Hell, in our very blue city there are hundreds of ranting roving drifters who are unpredictable and unpleasant to be around even if they aren’t committing any actual crimes at the moment. Commerce and community would go way up if these vagrants weren’t around.

People are tired of it. And they rightly blame liberals for a lot of it. As they should.

We’ll see what it brings, but I doubt it’ll be better. Both sides are full of bullshit, alas.

I agree that progressivism has gone down a terrible path. They feel more empathy for hardened criminals and violent vagrants than for the people they maim and kill, hate their own civilization, support degrowth, and would annihilate all the things that make life worth living without even really understanding what they are doing.

What I disagree about, though, is that progressivism must be this way. Obviously this is false because in the past, progressivism was something very different. It actually did point to progress, to space exploration, to the advance of science and civilization, and to to raising up all people. Instead, now, it attempts to lower us all, trades away the rights of women and girls to nearly-demonic third-world hordes, and believes we should all be living in mud huts with no running water, no modern conveniences, and definitely no air conditioning.

It could be something else but now it chooses not to be. Maybe one day it will decide to get back on the right path, but it’s not looking too hopeful at the moment.

Gap Yap

A lot of solutions to societal problems that smart people propose would only work if the average IQ were around 115. Since it’s not, and that most of the left doesn’t even believe in IQ despite its blatant reality, their proposed societal interventions are non-starters.

And so much is then doomed to fail due to the unrecognized cognitive gap.

Shocked by Epsteinโ€™s birthday book? That culture was everywhere before feminism.

This is all true, and terrible (though leans into prudery too much for me), but what is omitted is that feminists greatly overplayed their hand so there was a backlash. Insisting that women are not fully adult until 25, 30, even 40+ years old while men are full adults at 14-ish did them no favors. And believing as well as acting like that all men are crazed rapists while all women are innocent angelic beings also contributed.

And just as much, the issue became wrapped up in women’s intense intrasexual competition so they began accusing adult men dating very much adult women of “pedophilia” if the woman in question were a second younger, skinnier or shorter than the accuser1. No, it’s not “grooming” if a woman is fully adult and fully participating in the relationship, even if there is an age gap. Jesus Christ.

Solnit has always been kind of anti-sex, and that shows here too. She just hides it well behind a curtain of, “What about the children?” And much of what she writes about is disturbing, to be clear. I have no idea why adult men want to be with actual children. But insisting against all evidence that women have no accountability and no responsibility because they are children until 40+ doesn’t sound correct to most people. That’s because it’s fucking insane.

So most people reject it. As they should. And that’s one of the reasons feminism is failing.

  1. Remember the woman who claimed that any man who dated a woman under 5’7″ was a pedophile? I do. And guess what? The woman claiming that was, wait for it, 5’7″. Shocker, I know. By the by, around 70% of US adult women are under that height.

Tech Neek

I’ve had men spend half an hour offering their opinions on IT and on how computers work, despite me being an industry pro with multiple professional-level certifications, understanding computers very deeply, having used them since I was four years old and been employed in tech for 25+ years. And these men were not programmers or developers nor did they work in tech. And nearly every word they said was incorrect.

Women believe that “mansplaining” happens only to them — a very solipsistic view. But some people are just oblivious boors. More often men, but plenty of women are that way too (Karens).
