Modern device I hate the most: Smartphones.
Modern device I like the most: High-resolution displays.
Smartphones make everything worse. They make the web worse. Their rise is responsible for โapps.โ Windows 8 was largely a response to smartphones. Smatphones makes computing worse, make work worse, make life worse.
Smartphones mean everyone thinks they should be able to contact you in every way all the time.
For this reason, most of the time I leave my phone behind. Screw all that.
I hate smartphones and everything about them. I wish theyโd just disappear.
Totally agree! I recently got a MacBook Pro with Retina and I’ve never been more satisfied with my computing machinery in my life.
Agreed on the MacBook Pro with Retina. We have the 13″ model.
It is without a doubt, the most elegant and well-designed bit of computing machinery — and perhaps device of any type — that I’ve ever used.
I’m not exaggerating though many will laugh about it when I say that I really think that it stands design- and quality-wise as a pinnacle of human achievement.
Yes! Now if only it has a proper task-bar instead of the OS X dock, my life would be perfect!
